Vivian Mar, born and raised in Hong Kong, graduated in Cinema and Drama from National Taiwan Academy of Art (Golden Harvest Award winner, early 80s), she embarked on a second artistic journey with painting around 2000. The pandemic lockdowns, which closed studio, became a turning point—shifting her practice homeward, where she deepened her study of color theory and watercolor. In 2025, a serendipitous encounter with Ah Sum led to an invitation for this café solo exhibition—an unexpected debut that fulfills a dream cherished by many.

I love observing small, unnoticed wildflowers and grasses, and the colors of leaves as they change with the seasons. The shifting clouds in the sky remind me that God's love covers all creation.

Through my paintings, I hope to capture these beautiful moments and share this joy with you. Whether traveling or walking in the park, I bring my sketchbook to capture impressions, then use acrylic, watercolor, ink, and paper to express each moment.

People say my paintings bring a sense of peace and help relieve stress at home or in the office. Feel free to take a look at my portfolio.
